Airport Yamakataya (2nd Shop)
The shop is located on the north side of the departure lobby on the 2nd floor of Kagoshima Airport. The lineup includes Satsuma-age (from brands: Tokunagaya, Maruiwa, Kanba), Karukan (Akashiya, Buntando), books, local crafts (Oshima Tsumugi silk, Yakusugi cedar), sundries, T-shirts, and other souvenir items.
Using Beniharuka (red sweet potatoes) grown in Kagoshima, they are refrigerated after harvest to bring out the sweetness of the fruit.
This shop offers a wide variety of funny Kagoshima goods and T-shirts.
Chiran, Ei, and Mizobe are famous tea-producing regions that boast one of the highest production volumes in Japan.
