Hot Spring Footbath "Oyattosa" Awarded the 2017 Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor

Kagoshima is a kingdom of hot springs, with soothing baths spread out through the entire prefecture for travelers to enjoy.
Kagoshima Airport's hot spring footbath "Oyattosa" was awarded the 2017 Certificate of Excellence* from TripAdvisor.
Oyattosa was opened on December 20th, 2005 in order to promote Kagoshima, Japan's top prefecture for hot springs. It is the first hot spring facility located within a domestic airport to use natural hot spring waters. From a monument modeled after Mount Kirishima's Takachiho-no-mine and Sakurajima flows natural hot spring water coming from 1,500 meters underground, straight into a bath simulating Kagoshima Bay. The term Oyattosa means "you deserve a break," and the facility is designed to represent the very essence of Kagoshima, especially its warmth and kindness. We are grateful to have received this award, and aim to continue providing our guests the best in leisure and relaxation.
*The Certificate of Excellence is an award given out by TripAdvisor, the world's biggest travel website, boasting over 500 million reviews. Founded in 2010, the award has been given to businesses who have maintained a score of above 4/5 for the duration of one year.
